The Book

Iphupho: The Dream is a children's novella (ages 7–12) by South African author Mbali Mbatha.

The Story

Nandi is a big dreamer. But when she fails a maths test, her confidence shatters. That night, she falls into a magical dream realm where she meets:

Inyoni – A wise white lioness cub who teaches her how to fly without wings.

Amahle – A girl whose skin glows like the night sky.

The Warrior Girl – A mysterious figure with dimples just like Nandi's.

Together, they must face the Shadows—creatures born from fear and self-doubt—before the dreams of all children are lost forever.
